Terms of sale & license

Version 1.1, effective October 2, 2026. The version in force on the date of your order applies to that order. Last updated: October 3, 2026.

1. The product

Marvelous UI is a library of user-interface components delivered as source files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), with a command-line tool, an MCP server and an online playground. It is published by Quentin Fankrache EI. Purchases are handled by our merchant of record, Polar (polar.sh), which is the seller of record and issues your invoice. Delivery: immediately after payment. Your license key comes in your purchase e-mail: use it to download the Pro pack from our download page, or to install it with the command-line tool.

The full license is the Marvelous UI Commercial License (v1.2), published at marvelous-ui.com/legal/license.html and shipped as LICENSE.md in the Pro pack. These terms summarize it; if they differ, the license prevails.

2. Plans and seats

Every plan comes in two forms. Lifetime is paid once and never renews: its license key does not expire, and it includes every new component, update and playground export for as long as we publish Marvelous UI. It covers the library only, not other products we may offer separately, the Done for you service or custom work. If we ever stop publishing Marvelous UI, we tell you at least 90 days in advance, and you keep the license for every version you obtained. You can move a Lifetime to a larger plan by paying the difference between the current price of that plan and the price you paid.

Subscription: from October 15, 2026, every plan can also be bought by the year (Solo $149, Team $449, Unlimited $999) or by the month (Solo $24, Team $69). A subscription includes the same new components, updates and playground exports while it runs, and its license key stays valid as long as it runs. It renews automatically at the end of each year or month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your Polar customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. When it ends, everything you downloaded stays licensed, forever; new versions and playground exports stop. For yearly subscriptions, we e-mail you between 1 and 3 months before each renewal date with that date, the price and the last day to cancel. If the price changes, we tell you in that e-mail before it applies, and you can cancel.

Updates required by law: if you are a consumer, we also provide free of charge, even after a subscription ends, the updates, including security updates, that are needed to keep the files you bought in conformity with this contract, for as long as you can reasonably expect given the nature of the product (French Consumer Code, art. L224-25-12 and L224-25-25).

Seats: Solo = 1 named developer, Team = up to 10 named developers within one legal entity, Unlimited = unlimited developers within one legal entity. A developer is any person who views, modifies, integrates or generates code from the components, including your employees, freelancers and subcontractors; an AI agent is not a separate developer, the person who operates it is. A seat belongs to one named person: you can reassign it when that person leaves, not rotate it between people. A legal entity is the single company, organization or sole proprietorship that bought the plan; its parent company, subsidiaries and sister companies need their own plan.

Playground export works in a limited number of browsers per license key: 3 (Solo), 20 (Team), 100 (Unlimited). You can free a browser from your customer portal, and we raise the limit on request. This is a technical limit, not a number of seats.

3. What you can do

4. What you can't do

5. Seat self-certification

At most once every 12 months, on our written request, you certify in writing within 30 days the legal entity using the components and the number of developers who used them over the previous 12 months (Solo and Team: with the names of the seat holders). If your use exceeds your plan, you pay within 30 days the difference between the catalog price of the plan that matches your use (the regular price on our pricing page, not a launch or discounted price) and the price you paid.

6. Refunds

14-day refund: e-mail us at [email protected] with your order number within 14 days of your purchase.

You can try the Free pack and the playground (without export) for free before you buy.

If you are a consumer in the EU: at checkout, you ask for immediate access to the files and your license key and acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day right of withdrawal (French Consumer Code, art. L221-28 13°; Directive 2011/83/EU, art. 16(m)). We confirm this by e-mail right after your order. The same applies to each subscription payment. The voluntary refund above still applies.

EU consumers who still have a right of withdrawal can use our form: Withdraw from contract here.

Whatever the refund policy, the license and the license key of a purchase end on the date that purchase is refunded or charged back: you must then stop using the components and delete every copy. For a subscription, a refunded or charged-back payment ends the subscription and its key, and the license for the versions obtained during the period of that payment; versions from earlier paid periods stay licensed.

7. Liability

The software is provided "as is". If you buy for your business, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim, except in case of gross negligence or willful misconduct. If you are a consumer, this limit does not apply: you keep the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (French Consumer Code, art. L224-25-12 and following) and all your rights to compensation under the law. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights the law grants to a lawful user of software.

8. Law and complaints

French law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence. If you buy for your business, the courts of Toulouse, France, have exclusive jurisdiction.

For any complaint, contact us first at [email protected]: we reply within 72 hours. The sale itself is made by Polar, our merchant of record.
