Limita el contenido largo a unas pocas líneas (o a una altura, para contenido mixto) tras un suave desvanecido y un botón “Mostrar más” que solo existe cuando algo se recorta de verdad, comprobado de nuevo al redimensionar y al cargar imágenes y fuentes; el texto oculto sigue siendo legible para los lectores de pantalla y la búsqueda en la página, Tab o un #enlace hacia él lo abre en su sitio, y al plegarlo se fija el botón para que la página nunca salte.

When to use
- Product descriptions, bios or reviews should stay short in a card with a way to read the rest in place
- A list of comments or reviews mixes short and long entries and only the long ones should get a toggle
- A changelog or release notes block with headings and lists should show its top part and expand in place

<p>I bought it for the couch and it ended up on the bed. The color is exactly as pictured, a warm oat that works with both the gray sofa and the walnut headboard. It shed a little in the first wash, nothing after that. The fringe survived two cats, which is honestly the best review I can give anything.</p>

Accessibility
A real <button> right after the content, with aria-expanded and aria-controls, whose text says what it does (“Show more” / “Show less”); it only exists when something is cut, so screen reader and keyboard users never meet a toggle that does nothing. The clamp is a plain overflow clip, not display:none, content-visibility or hidden=until-found (those drop the text from the accessibility tree): screen readers read the whole text while it is collapsed, and find-in-page still finds it. When the browser scrolls the clip to show something (a find match, Tab into a hidden link, a #fragment), or a selection lands in the hidden part, the content opens instantly with that spot kept where it was. Collapsing keeps the toggle at the same place on screen, so focus and reading position survive. Hiding one line or less is skipped (the text is shown in full). Reduced motion (system or data-motion="reduce"): no height animation. Forced colors: no fade, LinkText toggle, Highlight focus outline. Print: everything shown, toggle hidden. Without JavaScript nothing is clamped.
